Mark Osborne
Creative Director of Najberg Milne since 2005, Mark Osborne is a legend of modern design. His work has been exhibited in the Pompidou Centre, Paris, and London’s Victoria & Albert Museum, where examples are lodged in the permanent design collection.
Born in Kent to a family of artists, Mark had a youthful talent for mathematics, and throughout his career has balanced creativity with systematic rigour while remaining determined to broaden his experience across many disciplines. He has been a national news photographer, document designer in Western, Arabic and Farsi scripts, art school lecturer, and exhibited fine artist in both landscape and abstract idioms.
It is for the two award-winning design companies he co-founded and lead to enormous success that he is most widely known. The Small Back Room’s blue-chip clients included the BBC, McKinsey International, Mary Quant, Faber and Faber, the Arts Council and TNT, while the more innovative Autograph Design Partnership’s counted Channel Four, Marks & Spencer, Max Factor, Courtaulds Textiles, Olswang solicitors and the Government of Turkey among its clients.
A Royal Academy Summer Exhibition artist and Elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Artists, Mark divides his time between London and Venice.
